About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Emergency Veterinarian to join our team in Singapore. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing urgent and critical care to animals in need. You will be working in a fully equipped emergency veterinary facility alongside a team of skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate medical attention and treatment to animals in emergency situations.
Diagnose and manage critical cases, including trauma, poisoning, and severe illnesses.
Perform emergency surgeries and procedures as required.
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess and stabilize patients effectively.
Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with veterinary regulations.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in emergency veterinary medicine.
Requirements:
A degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM, BVSc, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS), Singapore.
Minimum of 2-5 years of clinical experience, preferably with emergency or critical care exposure.
Strong ability to perform under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
Skilled in emergency procedures such as CPR, wound management, and fluid therapy.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to work overnight, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
