Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist
Location: Perth, Australia
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
About the Role
A newly founded, veterinarian owned, independent emergency and specialty hospital in Perth is appointing its founding internal medicine specialist. This is the rare chance to build a medicine service exactly the way you believe it should be run.
The Role
Shape the internal medicine service from day one: caseload, protocols and standards.
A genuine referral caseload from the start, fed by emergency intake on site.
Founding specialist standing as the hospital grows.
The Package
As a guide, experienced board certified specialists in Australia currently earn AUD 220,000 to 280,000 plus per year, and the offer will reflect your experience and standing.
Full relocation and registration support for international candidates.
About You
Board certified in small animal internal medicine (ACVIM, ECVIM or FANZCVS).
Ready to build and lead a service line, not just work within one.
You must already hold an AVBC accredited veterinary qualification, or have completed the AVE, allowing immediate registration with the relevant Australian state veterinary board.
Why Perth
Sunshine, beaches and genuine outdoor living all year round.
A lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne.
Specialist demand in Western Australia comfortably outstrips supply.
Direct flights across Asia.
How to Apply
I handle every application personally and confidentially, and you will get the full picture of the hospital, the team and the caseload before anything is shared with the employer. Email your CV to bryce@brycedon.com. Not the right fit? If you know a colleague who might be, I would appreciate the introduction.
